Thin film polycrystalline silicon (poly-Si) solar cells were annealed in water vapour at pressures below atmospheric pressure. PN junction of the sample was contacted by measuring probes directly in the pressure chamber filled with steam during passivation. Suns-VOC method and a Lock-in detector were used to monitor an effect of water vapour to VOC of the solar cell during whole passivation process (in-situ). Tested temperature of the sample (55°C – 110°C) was constant during the procedure. Open-circuit voltage of a solar cell at these temperatures is lower than at room temperature. Nevertheless, voltage response of the solar cell to the light flash used during Suns-VOC measurements was good observa

  • DOI: 10.1109/MIEL.2014.6842150
  • Odkaz: https://doi.org/10.1109/MIEL.2014.6842150
  • Pracoviště: Katedra elektrotechnologie
  • Anotace:
In the paper is described Time Domain Reflectometry method which can be used for differentiation of PV modules with same static plate values. Different AC parameters can cause dissimilar behavior in alternating fields leading to premature degradation.

  • Anotace:
After 30 year’s development, photovoltaics has been recognized as a renewable energy technology that has the potential to contribute significantly to future energy supply. Material and solar cell and module fabrication technology seem to be the most important in the field of photovoltaics, because the progress expectations in photovoltaic applications necessitate a decrease of photovoltaic cell (module) cost on the level of more than 30% of today’s one. Basic principles of photovoltaic cell physics and technology have been demonstrated on fabrication of crystalline silicon cells and modules, thin film cells and modules, and also new prospective technologies.

The aim of the Article is a proposal of a new Model Based FMEA Method applied for solar modules. A model based paradigm is an advanced approach in the current science and technology. The Author employs this concept for increasing an efficiency of the FMEA method. It is demonstrated by the example of the FMEA analyses of solar modules. This work builds on the achievements resulting from the previous works concerning applying the FMEA method for soldering process. In the Article we present a knowledge model of solar module system as well as meta-model of general product. Finally, the process of reasoning of potential failure modes over the solar module system model will be described.

  • Anotace:
In this paper, we discuss the proposed method of identifying the parameters of photovoltaic cells/modules with the help of curve fitting by using both analytical and statistical methods. Increased computing power in recent years enables us to find fast and accurate solutions to non-linear equations and allows a wide range of use of this method. Evaluation was done on computed I-V curves with chosen model parameters and also on samples of mono-crystalline silicon cells. In the latter case the samples were measured with a Pasan cell tester IIc under variable conditions, model parameters were calculated and the model was compared with measured data

  • Anotace:
